Actor and professional surfer Tamayo Perry, known for his role in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ has died after being attacked by a shark while surfing in Hawaii.
The 49-year-old passed away on Sunday afternoon, according to Honolulu’s emergency services.
They said that a rescue team was called to Malaekahana Beach at around 13:00 local time. Perry, who was also a lifeguard, was brought to shore by jet ski but was pronounced dead by paramedics.
In addition to his role in the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,’ Perry appeared in several other productions, including ‘Lost’, ‘Hawaii Five-0’, ‘Blue Crush’, and ‘Charlie’s Angels 2’.
